Community Recycling Day
Thank you for supporting us and our nonprofit partners!!!
GreenAllies will again host our popular Community Recycling Day on March 14th at the Althouse Arboretum. This is a DRIVE THROUGH event. Just drive to the Althouse Arboretum with your materials and our student volunteers will remove them from your vehicle and recycle them properly.
We will be collecting:
Large Appliances (refrigerator, freezer, ovens) Any large appliance. We will even take grills.
PLEASE: No vaccuum cleaners, coffee makers, hair dryers, and other small plastic appliances that don’t work
ALL Scrap Metal Anything made mostly of metal. Old wires, nails, aluminum siding, shelves, tire rims, etc…
PLEASE: Remove all fluids from any lawnmower or power equipment. (Details for 2026 Hazardous Waste Collection will be provided)
Microwaves
Laptops
Cell Phones
ipads
Computer ink cartridges Please make sure they are ink cartridges and not the larger toner cartridges!
Clothing See below for details
Shoes
Household Goods (no furniture, pillows, bedding, or unusable items) Toys, good electronics, working small appliances, household decorations, shelves and more!
WE ARE ALSO COLLECTING BICYCLES!
Bicycles! We are teaming up with the nonprofit Bike and Sol a nearby nonprofit to collect used bikes to be provided to kids and families in need.
WE ARE ALSO COLLECTING PET SUPPLIES
Pet Supplies and Equipment We are teaming up with Animal House Project to collect pet supplies to be donated to shelters.
Clothing Details from our Recycler:
Adult & Children Clothing, Shoes, Handbags, Sandals, Sneakers, Boots, Jackets, Coats, Rain Gear, Leathers, Belts, Ties, Pants, Shirts, Sweaters, Vests, Blouses, Dresses, Skirts, Robes, Undergarments, Sheets, Towels, Linens, Tablecloths, Hats, Scarfs, Gloves, Purses, Wallets, Jewelry, Watches, Uniforms, Jerseys, Backpacks and New Diapers and NOW ACCEPTING Household Items, Utensils, Hard & Soft Toys, Electronics, Handicap Equipment & Small Bric-A-Brac Items.
* What We Don’t Accept: Thrift Store Goods, Flea Market Goods, Furniture, Books, Yard Sales or Sorted merchandise that has been picked through or separated which the better goods have been taken out as well as pillows & curtains. Any merchandise that has holes, rips, stains, mold or has an odor.
